South Georgia Tormenta FC welcomes eleven new players to its 2025 USL W League roster. These attackers and midfielders will bring creativity, experience and offensive firepower to the squad ahead of the season opener this Saturday, May 17, against North Carolina Fusion.

Hailing from Hilton Head, South Carolina, midfielder Katie Russo began her soccer journey with Storm Soccer (now known as Tormenta FC Academy) and now returns to the club for the 2025 USL W League season. Russo plays Division I soccer at the University of South Carolina in the SEC.
Lina Jaime Lopez, the 2023 MEC Offensive Player of the Year, joins from the University of Charleston after a standout 2024 season where she tallied 13 goals and eight assists in 20 appearances.
From Georgia Southern University, Meredith Pugh adds more local talent to the roster. She played and started all 19 matches in 2024, contributing two goals and 13 shots on goal for the Eagles.
Japanese midfielder Chinatsu Kaio arrives from Florida International University, where she recorded an assist and seven starts for them in 2024, playing a key role in FIU’s 2024 Conference USA Regular Season and Tournament Championship runs.
Midfielder Mya Ulloa of Texas State brings scoring power and midfield control. She notched seven goals and four assists across 22 matches in 2024, earning Sun Belt All-Tournament Team honors.
Ellie Arnold, a skilled midfielder from England, represents Illinois State University, where she scored a goal in her first start for the Redbirds. Arnold brings experience from top English clubs, including Arsenal Women FC, Millwall Lionesses, U23 Chelsea Women, and London City Lionesses.
In the attack, forward Constance Agyemang joins from Navarro College with an impressive 2023 stat line of 24 goals and 15 assists in just 20 games, showing her exceptional scoring prowess.
Flavie Dubé, formerly of Louisiana Tech and currently at the University of Memphis, was named 2022 CUSA Freshman of the Year. She continues to be a creative threat in the final third and comes to Tormenta after logging two assists in 324 minutes of action for Memphis.
Forward Mia Ortega provides Tormenta FC’s offense with skill and Division I experience from her time with Virginia Military Institute. Ortega registered an assist in the final game of her sophomore season with the Keydets.
Nikole Solis, one of three FIU players joining Tormenta this season, scored eight goals and added three assists in 17 games while helping lead her team to a championship season.
French forward Mady Soumare, another standout from Texas State, claimed nine goals and six assists for the Bobcats in 2024, also earning her a spot in the 2024 All-Sun Belt Conference First Team..
Tormenta FC’s 2025 USL W League campaign begins on Saturday, May 17, on the road against NC Fusion. The team’s home opener is set for Wednesday, May 28, at 7:30 p.m. at Tormenta Stadium in Statesboro. Fans can purchase tickets here.
