STATESBORO, Ga. – Former South Georgia Tormenta FC 2 defender Leland Archer has earned a call-up to the Trinidad and Tobago men’s national team ahead of its international friendly match on Sunday, Jan. 31, at Exploria Stadium in Orlando, Florida. Archer is the second Tormenta FC 2 alum to earn a senior national team call-up after Charleston Battery teammate Nico Rittmeyer joined Guatemala's national team in November of 2020.
"It's an honor to represent your country at the highest level,” Archer told CharlestonBattery.com. "I'm definitely excited, but also honored to be chosen. The U.S. is obviously a tough Concacaf game, but it’s definitely more exciting than daunting because it's one of the better teams to be playing against at this level.
