STATESBORO, Ga. – French attacker Alexis Ledoux has been named the South Georgia Tormenta FC 2 Player of the Month for June following exceptional performances across seven games in the 2021 USL League Two regular season.
A University of Charleston Men's Soccer Talent, Ledoux was named Man of the Match three times in the month of June for his game-changing performances. On June 12, Ledoux scored a game-winning goal versus Peachtree City MOBA to secure the team’s first road win of the season. Ledoux also converted a penalty against East Atlanta FC on June 8 and scored a late-match goal versus SC United Bantams on June 18. Ledoux continues to impress by creating scoring opportunities, relieving pressure and making defensive tackles and steals.
The young goalscorer earned 55.8% of the total vote, edging out forward Gabriel Rodriguez, who earned 31.2%. Defender Mohamed Redjeb collected 11.2% of the vote, while goalkeeper Drew Romig ended up with 2.4% of the total. The winner was determined via a weighted average from the following three voting bodies:
- A fan vote comprised 60 percent of the poll.
- Tormenta FC staff ballots comprised 20 percent of the poll.
- A media ballot comprised 20 percent of the poll.
