STATESBORO, Ga. – South Georgia Tormenta FC has announced the addition of Mariah Pate and Anthony Olivo to the Tormenta FC Front Office, where they will serve as the Coordinators of Ticket Sales & Services for the club’s USL League One, W League and League Two teams.
Mariah attended the University of Kentucky, where she obtained a Bachelors of Business Administration with a focus in Sports Marketing. During her time at UK, she interned with the Athletic Department, where she assisted in the Fan Experience for their Men’s Soccer, Baseball, Gymnastics, Football and Basketball teams. After graduating, she moved to Atlanta, Georgia, to work for the Gwinnett Stripers, the triple-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves. She also spent a season with the Atlanta Blaze (MLL) before going on to work for the Atlanta Braves.
When she’s not spending time with her husband and dogs, Mariah enjoys watching movies, going to the beach and trips to Walt Disney World. Mariah is a fan of the University of Kentucky Wildcats, the Atlanta Braves and the Tennessee Titans.
“After taking a year to spend time with family, I am extremely grateful to Tormenta FC for giving me the opportunity to return to my dream of working in sports. I am very excited about the future of Tormenta FC and to be joining the TFC family. I look forward to bringing my passion and previous experience to the team.”
Mariah Pate, Coordinator of Ticket Sales & Services
Olivo was born in the great state of Texas and moved to the Peach State in 2008. Not settling for less, once he graduated Valedictorian of Long County High School in 2018, he went on to earn a B.S. in Recreation from Georgia Southern University.
Olivo completed his internship as the Marketing & Events intern in Spring 2022 with TFC, and he took on a Sales position with the club in order to improve overall fan experience and ticket revenue. His degree in Recreation & Tourism Management provides an excellent foundation in event marketing, market analysis and customer relations. When he’s not with his family and friends, Olivo’s passions take him to the Statesboro-Bulloch Disc Golf Course as a board member and tournament director.
“To be a part of a community that focuses on family, inclusiveness, and success is a dream come true. Working side-by-side with the greatest Front Office staff in USL is an opportunity I hope to take advantage of. I’ve learned more about the sport in the past six months than I have my whole life, and it is the best first step I could have taken in my career. I will continue to build on the club’s accomplishments through our sales department by connecting and maintaining important relationships in the 912 and beyond.”
