STATESBORO, Ga. – Azaad Liadi has been named the South Georgia Tormenta FC Player of the Month for September following exceptional performances across three games in the 2021 USL League One regular season.
After scoring a brace in August, Liadi continued his hot streak through September, scoring three game-changing goals this month and has now scored four matches in a row. Liadi also recorded seven shots and one chance created, while winning 14 duels.
Liadi earned 58% of the total vote, edging out midfielder Luca Mayr-Fälten, who earned 26.4%. Midfielder Marco Micaletto collected 10.8% of the vote, while defender Nick O'Callaghan ended up with 4.8% of the total. The winner was determined via a weighted average from the following three voting bodies:
- A fan vote comprised 60 percent of the poll.
- Tormenta FC staff ballots comprised 20 percent of the poll.
- A media ballot comprised 20 percent of the poll.
