MADISON, Wis. – After allowing an early goal, South Georgia Tormenta FC bounced back to earn all three points with a 4-1 victory against Forward Madison FC at Breese Stevens Field on Wednesday evening. Matheus Cassini, who played for Madison in 2022, scored Tormenta FC’s first goal in the eighth minute of the match, while Kazaiah Sterling scored two goals and Jackson Khoury scored one goal in the second half.
A great run in behind the Tormenta FC defensive line saw Christian Chaney score the opening goal for the home side with 17 seconds on the clock.

Despite the setback, Tormenta FC quickly put the pressure on Madison and scored a similar goal moments later. Preston Kilwein played a great ball in behind the defense, and Cassini finished the opportunity to put South Georgia level on the night.
TFC continued to have the better chances to finish out the half as well, finishing the first 45 minutes played with a 5-2 shot advantage. Of note, Khoury had a great opportunity to put TFC ahead in the 47th minute, but Madison goalkeeper Bernd Schipmann made a great save to deny him.
Khoury continued that good form into the second half, assisting Sterling with an inch-perfect left-footed cross into the box, where the forward leaped high before heading the ball into the back of the net.
The two attackers combined again minutes later, as Khoury played a low pass across the six-yard box before Sterling finished off the opportunity in the 55th minute.
After serving as the provider, Khoury scored a goal of his own in the 68th minute, capping off an incredible showing for him and Tormenta FC on the road.
Following Wednesday’s result in Wisconsin, Tormenta FC shifts its attention to a road match against Union Omaha on Saturday, July 29, at 8 p.m. ET (ESPN+).
