STATESBORO, Ga. (December 19, 2023) – Tormenta FC midfielder Jackson Khoury received a call-up to the Lebanese “A” National Team December local training camp in Beirut, Lebanon, from Dec. 19-28, 2023.
Khoury will be attending the training camp under head coach Miodrag Radulović who was appointed on Dec. 11, 2023, as the team prepares for the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023. The Asian Cup begins on Jan. 12, 2024 when Qatar hosts Lebanon in the opening game of the cup. Lebanon’s group also includes China and Tajikistan. Prior to the Asian Cup, Lebanon will play Saudi Arabia in a friendly on Jan. 4, 2024.

In 2021, Khoury played for Sydney United 58 FC in the second division of Australia. Khoury played eight games for the semi-professional side scoring two goals and contributed two assists.
The young midfielder played a vital role in Sydney United’s National Premier League NSW 2020 championship run. Khoury scored the third goal in the final and scored the second penalty kick in the penalty shootout after 120 minutes.
During 2022, Khoury played for the Central Coast Mariners Academy, which competes in the National Premier League NSW Men’s 2, which is level 2 in the New South Wales league system.
On Feb. 1, 2023, Tormenta FC signed Khoury to his first professional contract prior USL League One season. The 21-year-old midfielder made an instant impact in South Georgia making 31 USL League One appearances, scoring seven goals and providing six assists. Khoury’s performances in the league earned him the USL League One Young Player of the Year award, and he was voted Newcomer of the Year by Tormenta FC fans.
Khoury is eligible to represent the Lebanese National Team through his dad’s side of the family.
