Statesboro, Ga. – April 5, 2024 – South Georgia Tormenta FC will host Lexington SC at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 6 at Tormenta Stadium. Tormenta FC hoped to continue its win streak following a 4-0 South Georgia Showdown victory over the Savannah Clovers.

Tormenta FC enters Saturday’s match with an identical 1-2-1 (W-L-D) USL League One record to the visiting Lexington SC. The sides have an even head-to-head record of 1-1-1. The last time the two sides faced one another South Georgia found the back of the net on five occasions.
Lexington is making the trip following a 2-3 home defeat to the Greenville Triumph, which saw Golden Glove leading goalkeeper Amal Knight sent off in the 80th minute. Lexington proceeded to concede twice in the closing moments of the match
Tormenta FC will turn to Niall Watson, who netted his third goal of the season during Wednesday’s match against the Clovers. South Georgia also kept its second clean sheet of the season thanks to goalkeeper Drew Romig during Wednesday’s match and will be looking to maintain a strong defense against Lexington.
Lexington will look to Cameron Lancaster to turn around the team’s early-season scoring struggles. Lancaster joined Lexington during the offseason and is the USL Championship’s all-time leading goal scorer.
