South Georgia Tormenta FC’s USL W League team faced SC United Bantams tonight at Tormenta Stadium with the match ending in a 2-0 loss.
The visitors struck first in the 38th minute, then doubled their lead in first-half stoppage time. Tormenta pushed for a response in the final 45 minutes, creating opportunities to get back in the match. In the 74th minute, Emma Tucker stood over a free kick following a Bantams’ foul, with another free-kick opportunity coming just minutes later. The Ibis continued to press but could not convert, and the match ended in a 2-0 final.
Tormenta FC’s W League team is back in action at Tormenta Stadium on Wednesday, June 11, at 7:30 p.m., taking on NC Courage U23. Meanwhile, in League One play, the men’s side hosts FC Naples for Western Wear Night on Wednesday, June 25, at 7:30 p.m.
