STATESBORO, Ga. – Forward Azaad Liadi has been named the South Georgia Tormenta FC Player of the Month for October, earning his second consecutive title after winning the award in September.
The rising forward stole the show this month, scoring a hat trick versus Fort Lauderdale in the highest-scoring match in USL League One history. Throughout October, Liadi recorded nine shots and created six scoring chances this month, as well as making two clearances and one interception.
Liadi earned 44.8% of the total vote, followed by defender Curtis Thorn who gathered 31.8%. Defender Stefan Mueller came in third with 21.6%, while midfielder Marco Micaletto tallied just 1.8%. The winner was determined via a weighted average from the following three voting bodies:
- A fan vote comprised 60 percent of the poll.
- Tormenta FC staff ballots comprised 20 percent of the poll.
